This was the first large group that I put together and composed for. It was recorded in the summer of 1993 while I was living on a lake in northeastern Pennsylvania. Great band as you'll hear. Smitty and I had been playing together a lot in the various Mingus bands at the time (Dynasty, Big Band, etc) and I had been working with everyone else in different groups and developing a rapport.
